Hello and welcome!!
We at Plano East Sr. High are excited to be hosting the first PISD Middle School Speech & Debate tournament of the 2021-2022 school year, open to all local middle schools. Our team has been eagerly preparing for this awesome event and we hope you will join us for fun and enriching competition!
Individual events (Extemp, Duet, Poetry, HI, DI, OO, Prose) will be hosted in person - at Plano East Sr. High (3000 Los Rios Blvd. Plano, TX 75074). Lip Sync, Muscial Pantomime, Reader's Theatre, and Storytelling will be judged asynchronously via submitted videos. Debate events (Congress and PF) will be hosted virtually, using NSDA Campus.
Concessions will be provided by our Plano Eastside Speech & Debate boosters, so make sure students bring cash for meals and snacks! Our hospitality for judges and coaches is also being prepared by our boosters.
Students should be dropped off at the flagpoles at the front of the school, and students walk up the central path to the breezeway. Plano East students will greet you as you arrive and guide you to building 1 squad rooms. Plano East students will also be helping competitors navigate the halls. Please keep an eye out for any student wearing a Plano East Speech & Debate t-shirt if you have questions!
