We will attempt to hire unaffiliated judges, but we need to know entry numbers ASAP to organize this. You can provide judges (who likely will not be used if your school has more than 6 entries) but if you can, please hire out your obligation from the tournament (assuming your students can afford it). Do not add hire requests if costs present a challenge for your students. This is simply to allow the league to fairly secure qualified/ unaffiliated judges. We will still use about 4 parent judges per session.

Despite typical State Quals procedures, will aim to have chambers of 14-16 students per prelim chamber (instead of 20 each). We will use direct cross-examination. POs must be entered as POs and may not speak in the sessions they preside. For all other CFL Congress rules and league conventions, please consult the CFL Congress Motions and Conventions Document

Schools may bring 7 competitors each (1 may be a PO). Wildcards can add to that total (up to 14 total entries per school). Wildcards can also run for PO. Wildcards will be balanced throughout the chambers. There is no Senate at State Quals.

Please submit legislation in Word format to mwoodhead@mitty.com by Tuesday, February 15th. See you at the competition!
