Welcome to the 2021 Navy and Old Gold Debate and Speech Exhibition!

We will be online just one more time this fall, via NSDA Campus, and while we look forward, intensely, to returning to in-person competition, we hope this will allow everyone the chance to attend, and those students who had the opportunity to debate so far afield last year the opportunity to do so once again.

The tournament will consist of competition in Varsity and Novice Policy debate, Varsity and Novice Lincoln Douglas Debate, Varsity and Novice Public Forum Debate, and Legislative Debate. Speech competition will be held in Oral Interpretation of Literature, Program Oral Interpretation, Oratorical Declamation, Original Oratory, Dramatic Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Impromptu Speaking, and Extemporaneous Speaking. All events will be synchronous. Congress will begin Thursday at 5pm CDT. All other events will start on Friday at 4pm CDT. Finalized schedule to follow. We are a qualifying tournament for TOC in LD, PF and Speech.

Registration opens on July 19th. Please note: independent entries will not be considered this year. Please be sure that an adult representative of a school is registering each competitor, and that all judging burdens can be met or hired. Each coach should fill out a school verification form which is available on our tabroom website. 

Awards will be sent only to schools providing an address on the linked google doc. The schools will distribute the trophies. This google doc will remain open until the Monday following the tournament. Please, even if you have your address in the tab info, fill this out or awards may not make it to your kids.
