Fee:
League and CHSSA dues must be previously paid or entries will not be accepted.
Judges:
Each school must provide 1 qualified judge for every 6 entries. This will be strictly enforced. School commitment must be met or students will not compete. Judges must be 2 years out of high school.
Judges must report by 4:45 PM on Friday and by 8:15 AM on Saturday, and should remain for the entire tournament, or be replaced by an equally qualified judge. [It helps if judges have a stopwatch, scratch paper, pencils and pens.]
Entries:
Only students who have completed a TCFL Open Tournament or Congress during the ‘20 -'21 season may enter. Students may double enter. Extemp entries may not double enter within the same panel except for Impromptu. Each school is limited to 5 entries per category. Bold events will use recordings for prelims and live performances for Semis & Finals except Duo. Multiple winners must yield at the tournament. Therefore, those students planning on double entering must submit a Preference Sheet prior to the tournament. Email to Co-President, Bobby Lebeda (robert.lebeda@gmail.com).

Because of the differences that exist in human perception, a subjective quality is present in the scoring of Speech and Debate rounds. Even with rules and evaluation criteria for guidance, judges will not evaluate the same performance in an identical manner. While we do everything possible to maintain consistency in scoring, winning results are not guaranteed.
