Kansas City Invitational

2021 — NSDA Campus, US

This tournament will be VERY similar to the 2020 Independence Winter Classic viewable here: http://iwc.tabroom.com

There are a few differences:
1. Novice divisions will occur under the same tournament website posted here.

2. Varsity and JV debate (CX/LD/PF) still takes place over three days (Friday/Sat/Sun). Novice debate will take place over two days (Fri/Sat). Varsity/JV - 6 prelims plus up to double octos clearing up to half the field with a winning record. Novice - 5 prelims break up to QF's

3. Speech events are now live. There will be two patterns. Schedule and patterns to be released later. Fri/Sat at a minimum. Possible Sunday but tbd. 4 Prelims of speech plus up to Octos as entries warrant. TBD if novice and varsity will be combined. If combined, there would be a noivce breakout in speech.

4. This tournament plans to take over the TOC bids in Speech and Congress and the NIETOC bid from the 2020 IWC. We have also applied for TOC bid status in CX, LD, and PF. We will run those divisions similar to National Circuit tournaments regardless of bid status or not.
