Cerritos Big Questions Online Tournament   

When: Saturday, April 17, 2021   Where: NSDA Campus (Online)

Thank you for your interest in participating in this amazing and unique tournament! This is a great opportunity to practice your public speaking skills at a FREE tournament and win AWARDS. Competitors will debate the resolution - Resolved: Mathematics was discovered, not invented.

After the tournament, all competitors will receive:

• A certificate from the national NSDA organization

...and the first three places in the high school division will receive:

• A plaque from the national NSDA organization

• An Amazon e-Gift Card of $30, $20, or $10 based on rank

A couple of things to note:

1. This is a free tournament, as we are sponsored by the national NSDA organization, but because of that all participants AND judges are required to fill out a survey after Round 3 of the tournament. It should take no more than 10 minutes, so we would highly appreciate it if you fill it out by the time noted below: https://www.speechanddebate.org/big-questions-survey-2020/

2. Like any other tournament, this tournament requires all participants to bring a judge. Parents/guardians are more than welcome. An ADULT judge is required for every two entries. Each entry can have a maximum of two competitors, though solo competitors are more than welcome. Although we will try to pair entries of the same size together (i.e. 1v1’s and 2v2’s), there are no guarantees.

Schedule

If you wish to drop from the tournament, please do so by Friday, April 2, 2021. If you do not drop by that date, we do expect you to compete. Without notice, it will severely hamper the flow and efficiency of the tournament.
