Hello!

Welcome to the 2021 CapValley NSDA National Qualifier!!

The CapValley NSDA District Committee is pleased to invite you to this year’s national qualifying tournament. We look forward to your participation in one of the most exciting and the most important tournaments of the year, and we eagerly anticipate the selection of the finest slate of competitors to represent our district at the 2nd NSDA Virtual National Tournament.

The NSDA National Tournament is creme de la creme of Speech and Debate Tournaments and as a district we've had a lot of success at this tournament. To celebrate this success, I have put some of our top performances from previous years below:

Please bring as many entries as your team is allotted to ensure the most qualifiers possible. Because of lower entry numbers, the NSDA has adjusted the qualification numbers. Because we are a Level 2 District, for this year only, we automatically qualify 3 entries in each event if we have a minimum of 10. This can be the most exciting of tournaments because we never know who will qualify. I have personally qualified freshmen and novices in almost all of the events. Coaches, we have an obligation to keep the dream alive. Please never tell them, "It isn't worth going, because you won't qualify."
