Dear Coaches,
On Saturday, December 19th, the Upper St. Clair Forensics Team is excited to invite you to a PHSSL tournament on NSDA CAMPUS for Charity.
We will offer all PHSSL qualifying events plus the new Impromptu and follow PHSSL rules in all events. Double Entry in speech events other than Extemp/Impromptu is permitted. Speech events will be LIVE!
Location: NSDA Campus Online. Entries will be restricted to schools from Pennsylvania.
Check-in: Check-in is from 7:00am-7:30am
Cost: $6 per competitor. There will be no physical awards. All fees paid above covering the cost of Campus rooms will be donated to a charity voted on by those at the tournament.

Judges:
1 judge per 4 speech entries (and Congress); 1 judge per 2 debate entries
Debate judges will be in a single pool except policy.
Registration (on Tabroom): Before Wednesday, 12/16 at 5:00pm, but changes can be made on Tabroom until the tournament begins without having to email us.
Anticipated Schedule (We reserve the right to begin rounds early if we can, so pay attention to Tabroom blasts/LiveDoc changes):
7:00-7:30 Check-in
7:45 Opening Meeting
8:00 – 9:15 Round 1
9:15 – 10:30 Round 2
10:30 – 11:45 Round 3
11:45-12:30 Lunch
12:30 – 1:15 Round 4 (Debate may do five rounds if logical)
2:00ish – 3:00ish Awards
Congress sessions will (ideally) run 8:00-11:00 and 11:30-1:30pm
Parli Debate Topics: SCOTUS, Global Conflict, Science, Taxation
Extemp Topic Areas: US Foreign Policy, The Presidency, 2021, Global immigration
Commentary Topic Areas: Pop Music, The US Military, Holiday Gifts, COVID-19
Congress: 2020 PHSSL State Senate Prelim Bills (Posted on Tabroom.com)
Please Note:
NOVEMBER-DECEMBER DEBATE TOPICS will be used
PHSSL Rules and ballots will be used. PHSSL State bids will be earned at this tournament based on PHSSL rules.
All Speech (Interp and OO) will be LIVE. Live DUO is at the discretion of each coach/school.
No outside communication from coaches or teammates is permitted during rounds. The Internet will be available according to PHSSL Rules.
No awards will be given as stated above, but PHSSL bids can be earned and we will donate all “profits” to charity.
We will communicate using a Live Doc that will be sent via email the week of the tournament and check-in can be done online on Tabroom.com. If you have questions throughout the tournament, you can TEXT 412-376-3490 and we will help you.
