10th Annual Fair Grove Invitational

Dear Colleagues,


We cordially invite you to the 10th Annual Fair Grove Invitational Speech Tournament: I Survived 2020 on January 15th, 2021!


We will be offering Duo Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Dramatic Interpretation, Original Oratory, Informative Speaking, Radio Speaking, Storytelling, Program of Oral Interpretation, Poetry, and Prose. Each entry will cost $5. Both NOVICE and VARSITY competitors will be combined.


This tournament will run in an online format similar to that of the preceding tournaments this semester. I urge you to read the FGHS ONLINE SUPPLEMENTS sheet for specific details, but here is the abbreviated version: 


  • All registration/ scheduling/ etc. will be through http://fginvitational.tabroom.com/. Entries not entered through tabroom will not be accepted. Rounds will be conducted through the NSDA Campus platform. 

  • We will waitlist students when they are first registered. We will guarantee 3 entries per event and open up other entries the week of the tournament. 

  • All events will be asynchronous and pre-recorded. Entries will be $5 each, and for ease of payments and scheduling, all checks should be made to Fair Grove Schools. There may be an additional invoice for fines at the end of the tournament.  

  • By Tuesday, 01/12 @ 7PM, all tournament video submissions must be recorded and submitted into a link space provided on Tabroom that appears when you submit your entry. 

  • We are asking that you provide a minimum of 3 judging rounds throughout the course of the tournament.

All entries must be received by 7:00pm on January 8th. Please submit as soon as possible. Extra entries will be granted as space allows and confirmed after the entry deadline.


Please Note: Your team will lose 5 Sweepstakes points for each change made after 7P.M. on TUESDAY.  It is important to call early so changes can be made to the schedule promptly and the tournament can run on time.
