Novice Competitor:  Students that are competing for the first year in any Individual Events while in high school.  If they have competed in any of the 13 events listed below in previous years while in high school, they are no longer a novice in IE's.

Patterns: (All bold events need to be prerecorded)

A Events: Extemp, OA, Expos, DI, OI, Storytelling, SPAR

B Events: Impromptu, OO, OPP, HI, POI, Duo,

Except for students doing Extemp, students MAY double enter in either pattern, but their total IE entry is limited to 3 events. This means that a student doing Extemp may not double enter in Pattern A but may double enter in Pattern B. (Not a good idea for novices to do three events because they aren't familiar with the workings of a tournament; use caution if a student wants to triple enter.)

Schedule:

8:00am-8:30am Registration (coaches, judges, & students check-in)

8:30am-9:00am Student Assembly/Judges Instructions

9:00am-10:30am Round 1A

Awards to immediately follow!

Fees: TCFL Dues if this is your first tournament of the season.  Make checks payable to Tri-Country Forensic League.

Judges: Each school is obligated to provide one qualified judge per every 10 IE’s, or fraction thereof. Varsity students may judge.

Entry Deadline: Tuesday, October 27, 2020, by 11:55pm. Register at Tabroom.com. E-mail Jerome Robinson at jrobinson9812@att.net for any questions. Entries will only be accepted by coaches on contact sheet.  PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU DON'T SEE YOUR SCHOOL LISTED ON THE ENTRIES PAGE, YOU'RE NOT ENTERED.
