Gregory Portland High School would like to Welcome you and your students to their 36th Annual Speech and Debate Tournament. This year we look forward to hosting you Virtually via tabroom.com and the Classroom.cloud platform! Our tournament is a TFA State and NIETOC Bid Qualifier. It will be held October 29th-31st. 

All Individual Events (DI, HI, Duet, Duo, INFO, OO, PO, NPO, PR, NPR, and POI) will occur asynchronously.

IE recordings must be submitted by Tuesday, October 27th by 10:00pm. 

Foreign and Domestic Extemp, along with Debate events (CX, LD,PF, Congress) will hold live rounds throughout the duration of the tournament. We will not be offering World Schools Debate this year. 

*Please note that if an event does not reach qualification numbers, we will may choose to not offer that event

Awards: Even though this year presents unique challenges, we believe that students should be recognized for their hard work and achievements, so we will still be offering awards for Finalist. A trophy will be Presented to all Students placing 1st, 2nd or 3rd in an event and medals will be given to finalist. Sweepstakes awards will also be given to the top 3 schools. We will attempt to deliver awards to local schools and mail those not within area.

Congress: We will use the TFA 2020 Fall Legislation which can be found on the Texas Forensic Association's Website txfa.org.  Prelims will use bills 1-15 and Finals will use 16-20. 

Debate: We will be breaking brackets in Debate.
