Welcome to the 2nd Annual Desert Ridge High School Tournament.
The Maverick will be held online on NSDA Campus on Friday and Saturday, October 2nd and 3rd.

This tournament is brought to you with approval from Gilbert Public Schools and the McCain Institute for International Leadership.

We will be offering competition in speech and debate events following the guidelines of the AIA. Pending approval we may also be hosting Big Questions Debate under a grant from the NSDA and John Templeton Foundation.

Deadline for Congress Legislation is September 14th.
Deadline for Tournament Entries is September 25th. 

With the move to online competition, there will be changes to this site as unforeseen issues arise.

This is a high school tournament that will be using the NSDA October topics for LD and PF.
Events will be a mix of synchronous and asynchronous look at the submission page.

Costs are $5 per competitor per event and no team fee. There will be dual and triple entry for Individual Events. 

There will be sweepstakes for the top three teams and an award for top point scoring competitor.
