Welcome to the SCDL Re-Packaged Deal Tournament!

Saturday, Sept 26

NSDA Campus through Tabroom.com

The first league tournament of the year is designed to be a PRACTICE TOURNAMENT for all involved: students, coaches, judges and even tabroom tournament directors!

This tournament is for members of the Southern California Debate League ONLY

By attending this event you are agreeing to the following:

In consideration for
my participation in events sponsored or run by the Southern California Debate League (SCDL), I hereby expressly and irrevocably grant SCDL and its assigns, successors, licensees, affiliates, and designees (collectively the “Association”) the irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide right, license, and permission to use my name, image, likeness, voice, appearance, biographical information, statements, performance, and/or testimonials (collectively, the “Appearance”) in all forms and media including composite or modified representations for all purposes, including advertising, promotion, trade, or any commercial or non-commercial purpose throughout the world in perpetuity.  The foregoing right and license extends to my Appearance in any video or audio recordings, photos, and any other media, how known or later developed, that are created in connection with any Association events and/or activities in which participate, whether in person or virtually.  I waive the right to inspect or approve versions of my Appearance used for publication or the written copy that may be used in connection with the Appearance or such publication.

This is an opportunity for all of us in the SCDL to get comfortable competing in a virtual setting using the NSDA Campus platform.  Competitors and judges do not need to be NSDA members but they DO NEED TO HAVE TABROOM.COM ACCOUNTS.

Coaches – when students and judges create their tabroom.com accounts please make sure they include their cell phone numbers and email addresses as they will receive postings and judging assignments via texts and emails.  It is the Coach's responsibility to make sure all judges and students are LINKED to their school account.

Judges will complete their ballots directly through their tabroom accounts so everyone will need to log on to tabroom.com the day of the tournament.

·       This is an OPEN tournament, meaning Varsity, JV AND Novices are invited to compete.

·       Judges must be adults (18 or older, for example recent high school grads, parents, teachers, etc…..)

Judge Requirements: 1 for every five entries per Event. In other words: 1 judge for every five (or percentage of) in Event #1 and 1 judge for every five (or percentage of) in Event #2.

EACH TEAM MUST HAVE AN OFFICIAL COACH / or Pre-Approved Adult Chaperone immediately contactable THROUGHOUT THE TOURNAMENT. Students who enter the tournament on the day of competition without their coach/chaperone will not be allowed to compete.
