The Simpson Storm

2020 — Des Moines, IA/US

Welcome to the Simpson College Storm!

We are pleased to welcome you (virtually) to Simpson College for an early-season, full-service speech and debate tournament! While we regret that we cannot host you on campus or at Indianola High School as we have done in the past, we hope you consider joining us online. Please keep in mind that the times listed below are in Central Standard Time (CST). If you have any questions, please contact Spencer Waugh at spencer.waugh@simpson.edu and we'll be happy to help. We look forward to seeing you virtually Friday, October 9 and/or Saturday, October 10, 2020!

Topics

We will use the 2020 NSDA policy debate resolution.

We will use the September/October NSDA LD debate resolution.

NOVICE LD will use the NSDA announced novice topic:
Resolved: Civil disobedience in a democracy is morally justified.
