Foster (with several different cohosts) has been honored to serve as the opening tourney for your TFA season for the past many years. It is with that same excitement that we are excited to host the first Houston-area TFA Virtual Qualifier on August 28-29 with our new co-host Fulshear High School.

 

We will offer all traditional TFA events and students have the opportunity to swing in ALL IE events and Congress. Debate events will be offered once for the weekend. 

 

All IEs, except for extemp, will be judged asynchronously through videos for prelims and semis competition. Finals in those events will happen synchronously on Saturday afternoon for both sides of the tourney. 

 

We will be awarding medals to winners in all events and will need your help to judge as we all work together to figure out just how this virtual speech and debate world works! 

 

Some of our entry limits are smaller than years past to accommodate the restrictions of hosting virtually so you will want to register as soon as you are able.
