LC Anderson Trojan Winter Classic

Dear Colleagues,
The LC Anderson High School Speech and Debate Team, Booster Club, coaching staff, and captains cordially invite you to Virtual Austin for this year’s Trojan Winter Classic at LC Anderson High School. Please join us online on Friday, January 15th and Saturday, January 16th for a weekend of fun and fierce competition. The Anderson Speech & Debate Team and our wonderful Boosters take pride in providing excellent judging and a welcoming atmosphere at the Classic, and this challenging season is no exception. We again look forward to providing an educational, equitable, and competitive atmosphere.
Some exciting aspects to our tournament include:
- Individual Events (Interp, Oratory, and Informative) will be held COMPLETELY ASYNCHRONOUSLY, INCLUDING FINALS!
- Debaters have the ability to cross-enter
- $10 IE fees
- We will use the January-February Varsity LD topic for Novice LD
- Novice Public Forum
- New in 2021: World Schools Debate!
We are offering the following TFA Qualifying Events:

Public Forum Debate Congressional Debate
International Extemp United States Extemp
Original Oratory Humorous Interpretation
Dramatic Interpretation World Schools Debate
Duet/DUO Program Oral Interpretation
We will also offer the following non-qualifying events:
Poetry & Prose Novice Public Forum Debate
Novice Policy Debate Novice Lincoln-Douglas Debate
Novice Extemp
Competition rooms will be hosted by classrooms.cloud at http://virtual.txfa.org. At the dropdown menu for "Tournaments" on top of the page you can click on "LC Anderson" and find your competition room.
Congressional Debate will use TFA Spring Resolutions 1-5 for prelims and 6-10 for finals. A link to the TFA Spring Docket can be found

World Schools Debate Resolutions as follows: Round 1: This House would abolish all patents for green technology. Round 2: Impromptu Round 3: This House would establish term limits for Supreme Court Justices. Semifinal: This House supports statehood for Puerto Rico. Final: Impromptu.
Videos for the Speech events will be due at 5 PM on January 13, 2021.
