We are happy to announce that the district committee has determined a program to qualify competitors to the virtual National Tournament in June. 
 
The NSDA has confirmed that we have:
6 slots in HOUSE (Congressional Debate)
2 slots in SENATE (Congressional Debate)
3 slots in Lincoln-Douglas
2  team slots in PF
2 team slots in CX
1 slot in Big Questions Debate
Up to 10 slots in World Schools Debate
 
Students will be qualified after reviewing the submitted forms to the district committee. The committee will adjudicate each submission holistically based on the form criteria. 
 
The district committee will review submissions in a blind analysis and independent ranking. If there is a case of a tiebreaker, the committee will hand over the finalists to impartial judges to make the final determination. We will provide formal written justification to coaches for non-advancing competitors.
 
Immediate steps we ask of you:
1. Have an updated list of registrants on Tabroom by Monday, April 27th at 11:59 pm. Students who are not registered on Tabroom WILL NOT be considered for the qualification program. The committee sent out info on this requirement last week.
2. Coaches fill out the form for CX, LD, PF, and Congress by April 29th at 11:59pm.
3. Have your students fill out the BQ and WS form completely by May 3rd. 
The committee will be meeting to review form submissions on May 1st.
We will announce qualifiers for CX, LD,PF, and Congress on May 3rd.
 
Schools need to confirm national qualifiers in CX/LD/PF/Cong on May 4th. We will be contacting you to accept qualification slots.
 
More upcoming dates:
The district committee will be reviewing BQ and World Schools Debate on May 6th. No new entries for BQ and WS will be accepted after May 5th. The committee will send out qualifiers for BQ and WS on May 6th. 
Schools will need to accept qualifiers for BQ and WS on May 7th. 
 
Final list of qualifiers will be sent to the National Office on May 10th.
