Dear Colleagues,

 

On behalf of the Myers Park Speech and Debate team, I would like to invite you to participate in the 45th Annual Laird Lewis Invitational at Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina on Friday and Saturday, January 10-11, 2020.  We are looking to make this year's Laird Lewis better than ever! 

  
Events at this year’s tournament will be:  Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate, Congressional Debate, Original Oratory, Extemporaneous Speaking, Dramatic Interpretation, Humorous Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Programmed Oral Interpretation, Impromptu Speaking, Informative Speaking, and Declamation.

We are pleased to be able to continue to offer UK Tournament of Champions bids to Octafinalists (silver) and Quarterfinalists (Gold) in Public Forum Debate. We are happy to announce that for 2019-2020 we have also been awarded a bid to the Finalists of Lincoln-Douglas Debate! We will also be awarding bids in all Speech event contingent on entry numbers.
