Dear Coaches:

You are cordially invited to attend the 14th Annual Schaumburg Saxon Invitational. The Schaumburg High School Debate Team will host this tournament on Saturday, October 12, 2019. We look forward to seeing you.

We will use Tabroom.com for registration, pairings, and judging.

All judges must bring an electronic device to connect to the Wi-Fi and enter their ballots.

Registration will open on Monday, September 16th.

Divisions: LD and PF

Varsity: Open Division

Junior Varsity: Less than two years of Debate experience

Novice: Less than one year of Debate experience

Novice LD will use the novice topic: Resolved: Civil disobedience in a democracy is morally justified.

All other divisions will use their NSDA September/October topic. 

Fees

$20 per debater in LD

$20 per team in PF

Judging

One judge is required for every two debaters (or fraction thereof) in LD. 

One judge is required for every two teams (or fraction thereof) in PF.

For example, if you enter three LD debaters, you would be required to provide two judges.

Awards

Trophies will be given to the top 5 places in each division of each event.

Entry Limits

4 Debaters/Teams per Division

We will create a waitlist and begin adding debaters over the limit after registration closes.

Concessions

Breakfast and lunch will be provided for coaches and judges.

Pizza will be available for purchase for students.
