PCFL at Unionville

2019 — Kennett Square, PA/US

HI EVERYONE!

I hope your holiday was full of cooking out and relaxing, but thank goodness that's past, because now we can START OUR PCFL SEASON!  YAAAY!

Our first tournament will be held at Unionville High School and registration is up and running. Below are the details for this tournament.

Before we launch into those details, I would like to remind everyone to go back and read Ashley's email from earlier today, because there is great info in there about joining our PCFL Slack workspace as well as info about membership and dues. Also, READ THE MINUTES OF THE COACHES' MEETING from Chris Berdnik. There are changes that will affect our year.

Tournament registration is now open!

    • Entrance fees - $1 per competitor

    • This tournament will have NO double entry options. We have designated other tournaments in the season to allow double entries, so keep an eye out!

    • Mark seniors who are judging as First-Year-Out judges

    • Deadline for Hired judges - Deadline for hired judges is Sunday 9/29 at 5 PM at normal cost, requests made between then and the judging deadline (10/3 at 5 PM) will incur an addition $10, no requests will be entertained after the judging deadline.

    • Observers - In Ashley's email, she said we will be offering you the ability to enter observers into the tournament registration.  This way, with you telling us what you/they want them to see, we can create a schemat for them to help them 1) find the places to be to see what they want and 2) help them get the hang of a tournament schedule.

      • Made payable to "UHS Activities"

      • Checks for hired judges made to "PCFL"

  6. Info on the theme of the tournament

    • As per Ashley's earlier email, "Rather than doing our traditional showcases, we decided to switch things up a bit by offering workshops for each of the main events, as well as for new coaches. These will be set up as panel discussions with one experienced coach and a handful of competitors with experience in that event."
