Events Offered: Both Varsity and JV Divisions of Parliamentary Debate, Public Forum Debate, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and Policy Debate. If we don't get enough JV entries for an event, the JV division will be collapsed into Varsity.

Please note the League JV eligibility rules located at this linked website, Article XIII, Section 2.C. Students entered incorrectly entered in JV will be moved up to the Varsity division. 

Please also note, to be eligible for State Qualifying tournaments, the student must have a VARSITY win in any debate event this season (LD, PF, Parli, or Policy).

The Deadline to enter names for TBA entries is Monday, January 20th at 5 PM. After this date, all TBA entries without names will be removed from the tournament. All adds after this time will be subject to late fees.

Resolutions:

PF: January Topic - Resolved: The United States should end its economic sanctions against Venezuela.

LD: Jan/Feb Topic - Resolved: States ought to eliminate their nuclear arsenals.

Policy: Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially reduce Direct Commercial Sales and/or Foreign Military Sales of arms from the United States.

Parli Topic Area: Outer Space Policy

Costs (per Article XI Section 3 of CFL Bylaws):

Entry Fees: $11 per student ($22 per team)

Nuisance Fees:

Drops after drop deadline: $21 per dropped entry

Drops less than 24 hours before the tournament: $53 per entry 

Judge Requirements (per the CFL Board Manual Article XXVI)

Deadline to enter judges is Wednesday, January 22nd at 10 PM.

LD: 1 judge for every 3 entries 

Parli: 1 judge for every 3 entries 

PF: 1 judge for every 3 entries 

Policy: 1 judge for every 2 entries
