From the 101 freeway, exit the Reseda exit and go north.  Take Reseda to Erwin St.  (approx. a half mile) and turn left.  School will be on the right side.   Parking is available either on the street, or in the parking lot around the corner on Yolanda St.

Entry

$15 per entry including Presiding Officer.  Each school is limited to 10 speaker entries.  At this tournament the PO does not compete as a speaker but as someone who will compete at State as the PO representing TCFL (In case we have too many PO candidates, each school is guaranteed one PO entry. All PO's entered in the tournament will be charged $15) Make checks payable to TCFL. League and CHSSA dues must be previously paid or entries will not be accepted.

8:00 - 8:30 - Registration (Coaches need to identify drops)

8:30 - 9:00 - Judges Orientation and General Assembly

9:15 -10:45 - Session I

11:45 - 1:15 - Session 2

1:15 - 2:00 lunch break

2:00 - 3:30 - Semi-Finals (if needed)

4:15 - 5:45 - Finals

6:30 - Awards

Because of the differences that exist in human perception, a subjective quality is present in the scoring of Speech and Debate rounds. Even with rules and evaluation criteria for guidance,  judges will not evaluate the same performance in an identical manner. While we do everything possible to maintain consistency in scoring, winning results are not guaranteed.
