Your squad is cordially invited to the annual Goddard Lions Den Invitational debate tournament on Saturday, October 27th! We decided to do a one-day Novice and Open this year.

You may initially enter up to 4 teams per division, but I will try to accommodate extra entries if I have space. Entry fees are $6.00 per team.

Entries must be in by October 22nd.

All debates will use the standard 8-3-5 cross examination format with 8 minutes of prep time per team per round. All KSHSAA evidence-sharing rules are in effect.

Novices are case-listed.

Please encourage your squad to respect school and teacher property.

For every three teams, please bring a judge. Responsible third- and fourth-year students may judge novices; only adults will judge Open. Coaches and sponsors may be needed to judge.

Tab is open to coaches – come check my work and lend a hand.

Awards will be given to 1st - 8th place in both divisions. Sweepstakes will be awarded to the schools with the best three-team record with at least one team in each division.
