Greetings,
de Toledo High School cordially invites to attend the Fifth Annual dTHS Debate Invitational, to be held on Sunday, March 24, 2019.
IMPORTANT: The main building opens at 7:30am. If you arrive earlier, you will need to wait outside.
We will host Lincoln-Douglas, Public Forum, and Parliamentary Debate.
We will use the same LD and PF topics as the West Los Angeles NSDA District Qualifiers, thus providing an excellent opportunity to prepare for national qualifiers.
All events are double-flighted and have outrounds. All competitors are guaranteed three rounds of competition. We will thereby be able to accommodate a significant number of students in each event and provide an excellent competitive experience, all within the span of one day.
Lincoln-Douglas Topic: Resolved: The illegal use of drugs ought to be treated as a matter of public health, not of criminal justice.
Public Forum Topic: Resolved: The United Nations should grant India permanent membership on the Security Council.
Parli. will use a mix of fact, value, and policy resolutions. Parli. uses Open Prep.

The judge entry deadline is Tuesday, March 19.
