Humorous Interpretation

Event Description:

A humorous selection from a published work, performed by one competitor. The competitor plays every character and may write a short introduction that sets up the piece.

Rules
- The selection must come from one published work (a book, play, short story, poem, or published script; see the TAP SOP for what counts as published).
- The competitor may cut the work but may not add words, except brief transitions.
- Delivered from memory. No scripts, props, or costumes.
- Time limit: 10 minutes, including the introduction.

Grace period: competitors get 30 seconds past the time limit with no penalty. A competitor over the time limit plus the grace period may not be ranked first in that round. Time runs from the first word or movement of the performance to the last, and the judge times the video.
