Event Description:
Storytelling:
This event involves students selecting a story—often a folk tale or children’s story—and presenting it in an engaging and dynamic way. A chair is permitted. Competitors must bring the story to life using vocal variety, gestures, and expressions, all while focusing on clear characterization and pacing. Stories are up to 5 minutes long with a 30 second grace period. The story cannot be original material.
