Event Description:
Declamation is a public speaking event where students deliver a portion or portions of a speech previously delivered. The speech must have been publicly given and available in transcript form. Students memorize and perform the speech, maintaining the spirit and intent of the original, while adding their own delivery style. Speeches are up to 10 minutes long.
