Event Description:
The selection must be primarily serious in nature.
The selection must come from a single source. A single source is defined as a single play or a single fictional or nonfictional work. (Example of a single source: A cutting of Modern Family would be one source. However, a cutting of an episode of Saturday Night Live involving three different skits would not be a single source.)
The selection must be orally presented from memory to evoke a creative, imagined response in the mind of the audience. Characters, mood, and meaning should be created primarily by vocal control, facial expressions, posture, gestures, and pantomime.
