Performance Poetry - 3-8 minutes, memorized

Description: Perform a selection(s) of poetry in a creative and personally unique manner. Selections can be original works or works by published poets. Performances may range from 3 to 8 minutes. Poetry performers may choose one long poem or several shorter pieces. Performance poetry is done without a manuscript and requires acting. Pieces will be memorized and performed with as much emotion, energy and movement as the participant feels adds meaning to the performance. It is the style of delivery rather than the piece that determines the category.

4. Correct pronunciation and clear enunciation
