Event Description:
Students have 30 minutes to prepare a 7-minute speech on a current events question, using their research files. Delivery is extemporaneous, focused on analysis, structure, and argumentation. In NSDA tournaments t NSDA tournaments, Extemp is divided into two separate events: U.S. Extemporaneous Speaking (domestic topics) and International Extemporaneous Speaking (foreign affairs).
