Event Description:
Lincoln-Douglas is supposed to be a values based debate. Judges should be judging you on how well you present your your case based not on how fast you can spew out your contentions, or how much evidence you abuse your opponents with, but by how your side is morally justified. As it says at the NSDA, "LD explores questions of how society ought to be and is often referred to as a “values” debate, as questions of morality and justice are commonly examined. " Please remember that many of your judges will be coming from the Davis County or further north. As such, they may not be amused by so-called "progressive" cases.
