a reading event using completely original poetry which can include rhyming, a
specific structure, rhythm, and/or tone that demonstrates creative use of
language. Original Poetry competitors are encouraged to focus on a central
theme, use strong emotions, personality, and clarity. There is a 6 minute
maximum to your piece, with a 30 second grace period.
