Extemporaneous Speaking

Event Description:

The extemporaneous speech should provide a direct response to the question drawn. The challenge to thespeaker is to phrase a clear proposition and support it with contentions, which in turn, are supported withevidence and reasoning. Questions will be based on current events.

Students may bring computers to the Extemporaneous prep room for the purpose of searching and reading previously stored reference material. WHSFA computer guidelines will be followed, with the exception that available EMPTY power outlets may be used on a first-come basis.
