2021 — NSDA Campus, ME/US
Selections are open to wide interpretation, often deriving from oral traditional, fairy tales, folklore, tall tales, mythology, and other historical or tradition-based stories. Presenters must bring a story to life in a natural and entertaining way, but not necessarily with strict memorization.
Presenters are encouraged to integrate a great deal of dramatization and multiple-characterization through voice, accents, gesture, interpretive movement, props, instruments, and costumes.
Costuming, props, and musical instruments encouraged. Outside of grace period cannot be first. Memorized always (else last place).
