Event Description:

Novice Extemp is restricted to first year competitors only. Students will be presented with a choice of six questions related to current events. They will be given 30 minutes to prepare a four to six minute speech answering the selected question. Students may consult articles and evidence they gather prior to the contest, but may not use the Internet during preparation. The use of a note card while speaking is permitted.
