Event Description:
- In Prepared Prompt Speaking, students will be given a list of topics prior to the tournament. They will select one prompt from the official list, prepare a speech, and submit it through the recording process. Prepared Prompt speeches should be no more than 5 minutes 30 seconds in length. Topic choices will be listed at www.speechanddebate.org/topics on May 1.
- Supplemental speech events will be asynchronous with no live performances, judging, or student attendance. Students will submit one video that is judged throughout the tournament. There are no entry limits; students may be entered in as many supplemental speech events as they choose, and students may enter in both supplemental speech and Extemp Debate.
