Event Description:
Creative composition written wholly by the competitor. May fall under any genre, fiction or nonfiction, or style. Consider how well the student carries out genre components. Evaluate technical style (clarity, coherence, organization, grammar, sentence structure, etc.), literary technique (metaphor, imagery, parody, etc.), and narrative devices. Give equal weight to the piece and presentation.
No costuming or props. Outside of grace period cannot be first. Memorization optional.
