Teams of between 3 and 4 competitors
Event Description:
A team of three (3) or four (4) students prepares a news broadcast that is five (5) minutes in length, based on news stories that will be provided to all teams at 3:00 PM on Friday, December 18th. The team does not have to use all of the stories in the packet, but all stories presented must be taken from the packet. In addition, the broadcast should include an original commercial that is 15-30 seconds in duration. While this is not an interpretation event, judges will consider the delivery of the news by members of the team, their creativity, and their interactions with each other.
Time: 5 minutes, 5-second grace period under or over
