Event Description:
1. Speech is prepared and delivered without the use of notes or materials.
2. Speakers wait outside the classroom until it is their turn to speak, and remain IN the classroom after speaking.
3. ALL observers are to remain in the room throughout the round.
4. Speaker has two (2) minutes to choose a topic and organize his/her thoughts.
5. The TIME LIMIT for this event is 5 minutes, exclusive of the two-minute prep time.
6. TIME MINIMUM is 1 minute.
