Event Description:

Welcome to the Inaugural FIS Debate Tournament. March 2nd, 2019

This year, FIS is excited to invite Zurich International School to our inaugural debate competition.

Parliamentary Debate resolutions will be announced approximately 25 min before the start of the round. Students will have only that prep time to research and structure their cases.

Format and Timings for the Debates:

Constructive Aff1: 4 Minutes

Constructive Neg1: 4 Minutes

Crossfire between Aff1 and Neg1: 3 Minutes

Rebuttal Aff2: 4 Minutes

Rebuttal Neg2: 4 Minutes

Crossfire between Aff2 and Neg2: 3 Minutes

Summary Aff1: 2 Minutes

Summary Neg1: 2 Minutes

Grand Crossfire between all debaters: 3 Minutes

Final Focus Aff2: 2 Minutes

Final Focus Neg2: 2 Minutes
