Final Check In procedures for congress

PLEASE RUN THROUGH THIS CHECKLIST TO BE SURE THAT YOU ARE READY FOR SATURDAY:

1- EVERYONE MUST HAVE A ZOOM ACCOUNT TO PARTICIPATE!! You only need the free version, but you must have an account. 

AND Everyone needs to have the software downloaded, whether it's the desktop client or the mobile client.  Here's the link: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/360032812931-Starting-the-Zoom-Desktop-Client

As a clarification, you cannot just open up a link and run it in your web browser as with other meetings.

2- WE NEED:

- Every single person’s Zoom account (a username and email )  

- Everyone’s phone number so we can text or call if something isn’t working

YOU – THE HEAD COACH – MUST GET THAT INFO FROM YOUR STUDENTS AND JUDGES TODAY (FRIDAY) AND EMAIL IT TO ME ASAP!!    byoung14@gmail.com    -- definitely before registration tomorrow morning!!!!

UNAFFILIATED JUDGES – WE NEED THIS INFO FROM YOU AS WELL!!!  Please send this info to bedwards@uscsd.k12.pa.us

Hopefully your Tabroom account and your Zoom account have the same emails and names, but we do realize that this might not happen.

3 - A STRONG SUGGESTION – have a backup device ready in case something does not work with the platform. Download the app on your phone as a last resort if needed.

4- NEUTRAL, UNAFILIATED JUDGES – please let Ben Edwards know that you are ready to participate by emailing him at bedwards@uscsd.k12.pa.us, give your name and tell him that you are “there” and ready to judge.

5 – HEAD COACHES  -  please see the following items!!!

A - To register in the morning – check in with all of your students and judges, and then go to Tabroom and activate the on the online registration button when and if everyone on your team is “present” and ready to go.

B - I need copies of your school consent forms for today’s competition!!!  I have NA’s and I have a picture of BP mailing theirs.  The rest of you should mail your hard copies to me NOW!! Mail them to Beth Young, 41 Walnut Street, Pgh PA 15223

C – I have the Single Letters of Intent that you should have turned in to me at the Speech and Debate part of this qualifier series.  If you are not absolutely certain that I have yours, please mail a copy to me at the above address.

D – FEES - check Tabroom to see how much you still owe.   Tabroom will be showing you a full invoice that includes the school fee, BQ, Speech, Debate, and Congress.   Please mail those checks to me at the above home address.

E – Trophies will be distributed when it becomes possible. I am picking them up from my school on Wednesday, and we will make delivery arrangements after that time.  If you want your trophies shipped, you will be responsible for the fees.

F- once this segment of our qualifiers is over, I will be uploading all of our results to the national office. You can then start the process of registration online at the NSDA website.
