**Isidore Newman and Holy Cross will be considered out of state for points purposes** These do not need to be added to application.
**For Informative, due to no tournaments hosting it in the regular season, Oratory points will count as Informative points. OI for POI**
**This point system provides a baseline. The District Committee will factor these points into the final decisions regarding qualifiers and alternates. Other extenuating circumstances regarding an individual student’s ability to participate throughout the year will be considered.
**In the event that an applicant’s point total does not place them in the top two in their event, please provide a rationale in the notes section of the application as to why this applicant should be chosen to represent Louisiana at the National Speech and Debate Tournament. This should be in reference to their inability to compete at tournaments throughout the year.
