Glenbrooks Speech and Debate Tournament

2018 — Northbrook and Glenview, IL/US

Independent Entry/School Permission/Chaperone Policy

We do not accept any independent entries. In order to compete every student must represent and compete under the name of their degree granting school, have their administration’s permission to attend the tournament, and have a school approved chaperone with them at the tournament. If students compete in an event with a partners, both partners must compete under and be from the same degree granting school. If at any time the tournament discovers a student or school does not meet the aforementioned criteria, the student and/or school will be disqualified from the tournament and lose their entry fees.

New this year, please pay special attention to the “school consent/permission” form.  This form is important for everyone’s liability as well as student safety.  Each school must complete this process by submitting a letter (template on tabroom.com) using our language on their institution’s letterhead with the signature of a principal/school administrator and submit it on tabroom.com by 5pm CST on Friday, November 9th. Schools that register but fail to provide the school consent/permission form on time will be removed from the tournament without refund. We highlighted this paragraph to show that we have made every effort to make everyone aware of this new policy.
