TENTATIVE Schedule for CHSSA Middle School State Tournament

SUBJECT IS SCHEDULE TO CHANGE!!!

***Cross Entry between Congress and Speech and Debate and Speech is ALLOWED. Cross Entry between Congress and Debate is PROHIBITED.***

***Double entry is permitted in Speech. A student may enter up to TWO speech events. If students are double entered or cross entered, it is THEIR and THEIR COACH'S responsibility to ensure that they attend rounds on time. Rounds will NOT be rerun if a student is late to their round. Extra Prep will NOT be given to students in Extemp Prep if they are late to draw. Debate judges will enforce a strict 15 minute forfeit time for all competitors. Speech judges will be instructed to wait 15 minutes after the final speaker has finished speaking for students. If a student does not show up by that time, they will receive last place in the round.***

5:30 PM - Debate Round 2 (Parli Prep @ 5:10 PM)

7:00 PM - Debate Round 3 (Parli Prep @ 6:40 PM)

Saturday, April 27th, 2024

8:00 AM - Speech Round 1 (Extemp Prep @ 7:30 AM)

9:30 AM - Debate Round 4 and Congress Round 2 (Parli Prep @ 9:10 AM)

11:15 AM - Speech Round 2 (Extemp Prep @ 10:45 AM)

1:00 PM - Debate Round 5 (Parli Prep @ 12:40 PM)

2:45 PM - Speech Round 3 (Extemp @ 2:15 PM)

3:15 PM - Congress Round 3 and Debate Round 6 (Speakers cross entered in Speech will speak first in Speech) (Parli Prep @ 3:15 PM)

5:00 PM - Speech Round 4 (Speakers cross entered in Debate shall speak early, speakers cross entered in Congress shall speak late) (Extemp Prep @ 4:30 PM)

6:00 PM - Debate Elim 1 (Parli Prep @ 6:10 PM)

6:30 PM - Parli Elim 1 Start
