CONTRACT JUDGING INFORMATION

Thank you for your interest in judging for ther 2024 Yellow Rose District Tournament. We value your time and appreciate your interest. We have limited number of hired judging slots available, please contact Donna Szumila, donna.szumila@gmail.com, concerning your interest for judging.

QUALIFICATIONS: We are looking for judges who can judge both IE and Debate Events. Please send your qualifications along with your availability to Donna Szumila, donna.szumila@gmail.com.

DATES: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, February 15, 16, and 17, 2024

LOCATION: This year, our tournament will be held at Buffalo High School in Buffalo, Texas. The school is conveniently located along I-45 just north of Centerville and just south of Fairfield. According to MapQuest, expected drive times from major locations include:

1:10 min from College Station

1:10 min from Waco, Texas

1:45 min from Dallas, Texas

1:55 min from Longview

PAY INFORMATION:

Judging Contracts per day:

THURSDAY PAY: Hired judges contracting for Thursday will be contracted for $150 for the day. This includes 2 Congress Chambers and 3 event rounds. (PLUS: Judges willing to judge beyond their commitment will be compensated at $20 per additional round judged.)

FRIDAY & SATURDAY PAY: Hired judges contracting for a flat day rate are guaranteed 6 Rounds a day for $120. (PLUS: Judges willing to judge beyond their commitment will be compensated at $20 per additional round judged.)

Judging Contracts per Round: We understand that some judges can only contract for a limited time, i.e. Friday night only, and are not able to hire on for a whole day contract. For those judges wishing to contract for only a few rounds, we appreciate you, too! Rounds are $20 per round judged.

Payment will be provided at the end of your judging contract. Come and check out with Donna Szumila in TAB for your pay check.
