Event Rules

The following events will follow NSDA rules: Congress, Policy, LD, PF, Extemp, Dramatic, Humorous, POI, Informative Speaking, Oratory.

OI, JV Prose, and JV Poetry will follow NCFL rules.

JV Speech events will be offered as a separate registration category. The tournament reserves the right to combine all JV Speech events with varsity - except Prose/Poetry. If a JV student is entering both Prose and Poetry, it is the tournament's suggestion that they should be entered in Varsity OI.

JV definition - first semester senior in the activity, first year in the activity junior, all 9th and 10th graders are eligible for JV.
