Speech Judging? Synched? What you should know!

If you are listed as the sync judge for this tournament, there are a few things that you should know!!

1 - You will need a Tabroom.com account; all postings and ballots come through this account.
2 - You should use Chrome as your browser when judging; we are using NSDA Campus and it seems to work best on Chrome
3 - When you get your ballot from Tabroom.com, when you click on the camera icon, you will move into your room.  Wait for the contestants in the room to arrive. When all are there, call the first speaker, they perform, then move on to the second speaker, they perform, etc.
4 - You should keep your camera on so that students can see your facial reactions to their performances.
5 - After you have finished judging, rank all the students (remember, "1" is the best!!), submit your ballot, confirm your ballot
6 - You can add comments as you listen or after if you would prefer; some judges work on a side document and then copy and paste comments into the ballots -- not a bad idea in case there are technical issues that you cannot control.  You will have until the end of the tournament to submit your comments, but your ranks should come in immediately!!!
7 - Events that are running "live" (synched) for this tournament include Impromptu, Prose, Poetry, Dramatic Interpretation, and Humorous Interpretation.

8  - REMEMBER, FOR THIS TOURNAMENT, SYNCHED ROUNDS WILL BE ISSUED ACCORDING TO THE TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE FOR SPEECH ON SATURDAY.  IF YOU ARE ALSO JUDGING THE ASYNCH PART OF THIS TOURNAMENT, YOU SHOULD FINISH THOSE VIDEOS BEFORE SATURDAY ROUNDS START.
