Event Description:

The 2020 Laird Lewis Invitational will follow the NSDA Pilot Internet Rules in all debate events and in Extemporaneous Speaking. Internet connectivity is allowed in round/chamber/prep. Internet connectivity may not be used for outside communication during competition. Proof of outside communication during competition will result in disqualification.

Extemporaneous Speaking will follow NSDA rules on evidence, preparation, and speech time limits. Rules are available in the HS Unified Manual which can be accessed on speechanddebate.org.

All speech events will allow a 30 second grace period beyond the maximum time limit for the event.
