I debated for four years at West Virginia University and 4 years prior at Lincoln Prep in Missouri. I was the 2n all four years of college and have an affinity for case debate and the cap k.

It’s your round- do what you want and I will judge accordingly (and off my flows). Read your aff, I appreciate all styles and formats and want you to do what you do best.

Policy teams- I will happily listen to whatever dissad/cp scenario you prefer. Do your impact calc and extrapolate on your offense and you’ll win. As far as f/w, I’m less persuaded by this than other strategies but I do of course vote based off the debates context. Fairness and education have to be abundantly clear impacts, not extended words with millions of standards. Technical concessions and turns need an impact!

K teams- From pomo high theory to debates about debate, I am at least familiar with your literature base and look forward to witnessing your spin and innovation. (My team read performance affs, so k affs are welcomed as well.) the one thing I’ll say is I have a hard time weighing a k vs an aff when there are no case args coming from the neg. Do some case debate and impact calc! The alternative has to solve the impact of the k. I personally think that the kritik should establish some kind of framework and a reason to prefer said framework.

Again I can't understate how much I want to encourage debaters to do their thing. Form is not nearly as important to me as content, I love when debaters take risks, and I have a great respect for anyone dedicated enough to this activity to continue to debate within our current circumstances.
