Please describe your personal note-taking during the round

I write down the key arguments throughout the round
Additional remarks: I prefer delivery that is clearly articulated and communicative. I'm fine with technical language as long is its germane to a topic. I write down key arguments and maintain a loose flow. Argument takes precedent over style. When assessing a debate I focus on substantive clash: do you acknowledge and fairly engage your opponent's frameworks, contentions, and warrants? Those arguments are most persuasive that are cogent, impactful, and consistent with a relevant value framework. As for conduct, I value mutual respect--humor is fine, coolness is fine, intensity has its place; but acknowledgement of each other's intelligence, commonality, and spirit of good faith is what makes debate meaningful and enjoyable.
